Obviously the event of 9-11 was the most horrific event that happened during my consciousness.

The thing that interest me with this flip book is manipulation.

President Bush and his administration could have used this horrific event to bring together the American public. The American public, as well as the world public, were together already and our president told us to go shopping. This disturbed me greatly.

When the Bush administration used the 9-11 event to go to war in Afghanistan the American and world public were still together.

Then the problems started with our presidents rhetoric. I remember "Dead or Alive", naming a military operation The Crusades and numerous other speak that turned the world against the Bush administration.

Well, the war against terrorism was not going as smoothly as expected and we couldn't find Bin Ladin so we needed something easier.

The war against terrorism continued into the manipulation of a war in Iraq using 9-11 and a connection with Bin Ladin. And the media helped to manipulate the information to push the facts.

Now the war in Iraq/terrorism isn't going that well and we find ourselves manipulating facts about Iran.

And this brings us back to the little 9-11 flip book. I imagine that President Bush would find this little book fascinating. Maybe he has purchased one for everyone in his administration. It is so easy to manipulate this little booklet just like this Administration manipulated history.

On a personal note…

The 9-11 event has destroyed my life. I was in San Francisco during the event. I was running a small fashion business and our clothing was shipped out on September 10th to Japan. Well, the boxes never made it onto airplane for weeks and weeks as airline commerce was halted.

Also, my business partner and lover is Japanese. He is the designer of the clothing line that we ran together. Because of stronger regulations on travel into America my partner could no longer get a visa as he had previously.

Because he had traveled regularly every six months from Japan to San Francisco his passport was held on a return trip to San Francisco. He was investigated and interrogated and returned to Japan with little reason.

We have been separated for about six years now and have kept our relationship alive thru the telephone and internet.

As the designer of my business could not do his job in San Francisco I had to close the shop and returned to help my parents with their life. I was also diagnosed with Hepatitis C. I started treatment for Hep C and was cured but now after being off treatment the meds have destroyed my life. I can not work at all and was finally awarded SSI disability due to my poor health.

I really wonder what life would have been like if 9-11 had not happened.

Love the 9-11 flip book and wish it was that easy to flip history in reverse.
