how did you discover the flipbook?

i was youtubing for flipbooks last night actually. i came across your 9-11 vid i think on the 3rd video down

Excellent search. Do you make your own flipbooks?

after seeing quite a few vids last night, its piqued my interest in them and i've been thinking of doing some hand-drawn, and using some clips from shows/videos and making them into flipbooks.

I used to draw flipbooks of stickmen skateboarding inside my school books. I like the low tech high tech medium.

Do you remember your first thoughts viewing it Sept 11th flipbook on YouTube?

yep, i was thinking 'i've found yet another interesting way to preserve history in a simple yet catchy way. im afraid to read the comments on this vid because most of the people probably took this vid the wrong way'

yeah YouTube comments are pretty nasty, but I still like any feedback I can get.

You mentioned people selling debris, I never heard that before, but it makes sense.

it was talked about for almost a week back when i was in high school. most of the teachers were disgusted, my one Tech-ed teacher was on eBay when he first came across this. i think it mightve been on the news a couple times

where do you go to high school?

i attended at Haddon Township High School, in good old New Jersey. *shudders*

Haddon Township is near Philadelphia, on the the east side of New Jersey. But still close to ground zero

Do you know anybody or a friend of a friend that was hurt that day?

I guess hurt is a nice way of saying killed.

my family has tons of friends that ive only met once or twice, and from what i remember, a friend of my uncle by the name of Dave was very closeby right when the first plane hit. no one that i personally knew was hurt, but everyone was definitely jostled by the news

I feel like 99% of us in the world saw it happen on the news.

i would agree. i was in the middle of English class when they turned on the tv all of a sudden as the news was playing the first crash

Most New Yorkers did not approve of the flipbook. Some New Jersey residents wrote positive essays in support of the flipbook.

there seems to be a division between those that witnessed it on TV and those that saw it in reality.

that is so crazy you were in English class, supposed to be learning about words and grammar, and now it is time to turn on the TV and watch this terrorist attack

who turned on the TV?

the vice principal ran in and told my english teacher Ms. Mayberry to turn on the tv quick, the entire school sat silently in awe as each of the classrooms were notified and watched the tragedy unfolding

Imagine the vice principal running into your class and passing out Sept 11th Flipbooks.

so if you want, give me your address and I will send you a flipbook

unless you have something more to say about 911 or m flipbook

I appreciate the chat

i guess i just want to say that its great that people can do things like youre doing without having an intent for gain, and that you sympathize with the offended and hurt people instead of just covering for yourself

I gained something for our conversation, and it is worth the the flipbook trade.

i havent had a serious discussion like this for a while, im glad it went well for the both of us, hehe. i accept your generous offer and i'll start my collection of flipbooks, starting with yours.
