     For this portrait of Paul Newman I used the barcodes from his line of Newman's Own food merchandise. I used the same face that is clearly printed on the front of every one of his products. Most notably, Paul Newman donates all of his profits after taxes to charity, but this good deed certainly does not make his barcodes off limits. I was unable to find enough of his food barcode numbers on the web, so I actually had to leave my computer. I ended up traveling to my local supermarket and had to copy down the barcode numbers off of the products in the store. |
